Thank God for the Second Life!

Whoever might think would survive this tragic incident?

Thank God for the second life! My hubby had a car accident last May 21, 2011. He was driving their company vehicle heading for Balingoan Misamis Oriental for Camiguin. According to the police report, the incident transpired along National Highway of Sitio Bulalang Barangay Inobulan, Salay Misamis Oriental involving a Nissan Urvan Escapade (for hire vehicle) collided with the Isuzu Crosswind that my hubby was driving. With the initial investigation conducted, witnesses disclosed that both vehicles were travelling the National highway, the Nissan Urvan Escapade from Balingoan, Misamis Oriental while my hubby from Cagayan de Oro City. Reaching at the aforementioned place especially at the curved portion of the road, The Nissan Urvan Escapade allegedly overtook a tricycle and a sudden head on collision occurred. It was seen by the by-standers that the clash eventually made the Isuzu Crosswind to over turn with its right side on the ground with him were eight passengers while the Nissan Escapade with four passengers. Further statement of the witnesses revealed that the Isuzu Crosswind was removed by the bystanders from the original position considering that it blocked the flow of traffic. Both vehicles incurred major damage on the front and exploding each front left wheel tire. The vehicles were held custody at the station for further investigation and proper disposition. Other accessories will be then identified and estimated by a competent shop mechanic.
Thanks to the people who have helped during incident. The victims were then brought to the nearest hospital.

N for Ngisi (Smile)

A mother's heart is full of gladness when she sees
her children smiling. A proud mother of four!
A pose at XU field after hearing 6:00 am mass at
Immaculate Conception Chapel,
Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan, CDO.

A quote from Mother Theresa,
"Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love,
a gift to that person, a beautiful thing."

Why not share it to everyone?
It's a simple exercise that anyone can do.
Do you know that smiling is contagious?
You can try by  experimenting on this.
While you are in a public place,
give yourself a chance to look at a person and smile.
You will never know you'll get a hundred smiles in return.
Just don't overdo it. One might think you're crazy... hahaha... smile!

If you don't have a smile, I'll give you mine.

L for laagan (wanderer)

My first entry for HULAGWAY SA KINABUHI.
L  for  laagan (wanderer)

Ang lingaw sa mga laagan... magpahulagway!
The power of the six J's...

Joanne (My ate...great copy of meh!), Julianne (the ever charming ate),
Jesse (my loving and caring hubby), Joaquim (funny but brave kuya),
Jennifer (proud mama) and Jillianne (my gutsy girl).

At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test,
not winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal.
You will regret time not spent with a family, a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.

Back for Good

I’m back! After the busy days - work, graduation, health issues, so on and so forth… I’m finally back. So many things had happened to share and do! Ideas are rushing on my mind on what to do first…
First thing, my realization - priorities must be put into consideration. I always remind myself on having a list of accomplished task for the day. Keeping myself busy! It’s doing better along the way but later, I found out that I didn’t listen to what my body really needs.
Rest!  I mean literally resting. As a working mom with four energetic children, I begin my day with the chores at home which requires to use our legs and feet then proceed to work with so much load to carry (as in literally heavy things such as my laptop, some things needed in school, extra bag for my kid’s stuff and my shoulder bag for my personal belongings). Funny though, I always carry them almost everyday! No time for rest during noon break since we are having the supervised lunch with the school children. After dismissal, I prepare my kids to go home immediately so I can go to my tutorial session in a nearby residence just fifteen-minute ride from our school. At most seven or eight in the evening, I may run to go to the grocery, at times buy something for my children’s need in school, most of the time spent on assisting my kids in doing their assignments or have some time playing badminton with my friends. My day ends at most 11 o’clock in the evening or 1 o’clock dawn. Weekends are spent for more school work, family bonding, sleeping, church and most especially a date with my hubby. In the middle of the school year, I got some extra load as a teacher in some extracurricular activities and goes until the end of the school year since I am handling sixth grade (graduating class). My daily routine goes like these over and over for more than seven years now.
Now I know why I got all the body pains I’ve been feeling nowadays, especially my legs and my feet. Over used as what the doctor says. It might be in line of my work because of prolonged sitting or standing or might be genetically inherited. Well still finding some answers. At a thought of it, what I have mentioned above were already the answers… LOL!
Oh how I wish to write my Personal Life Statement this year. In this way, I’ll be able to focus on important and bigger responsibilities, including resting! Furthermore, I also need to find ways to fill in blogging on my daily routine or might sacrifice tutorial session with other kids so I can focus more on my children’s need. What do you think?
Anyway, I have still weeks to think on these matters and do some more posting before the start of classes. Work load may be full this June but I hope I won’t forget sharing something here. (I bet I’ll be able to sleep at dawn!)

Tropical Resort

for Watery Wednesday entry # 116

My four kids always look forward in going out to beaches and pools.
They always love swimming!
This photo was taken at Tropical Resort, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City,
a fifteen-minute ride from our place.
It has two great pools for children and for good swimmers.
They have been a while in the pool and this time it's night swimming!
